Ciarán is a theatre artist, producer, and poet from Glasheen in Cork City. He is a graduate of University College Cork, with a degree in Drama & Theatre Studies and English International. As part of his studies, he trained at Pace University in New York and Concordia University in Montreal, QC. He is the Artistic Director of Strive Theatre, creator and manager of The Crossover, a member of The Choke Collective, and a board member of Obheal. He is a Creative Producer and founding member of the Only Your Footprints Festival in Co. Cork, which is looking forward to its 4th edition in 2024.

Strive Theatre has produced 9 original plays and embarked on 3 national and international tours under his artistic direction. The company initiated their Play Development Scheme, a three-phase structure for developing new work, in 2016, and the STRY? Schools Initiative, a drama workshop program for transition year students, in 2017. See www.strivetheatre.ie

I run Circus250, a rural-based circus creation and touring company specialising in women performers and science/ecology circus. We call it #CircusWithPurpose. We produce two annual festivals - Daring Dames (all-female festival) and Circus Science by the Sea (circus science festival) - both the only such festivals in Europe. We work with artistes at all stages of their careers to bring their shows to tour-ready, then successfully tour throughout Ireland, the UK, and beyond. Our shows include StrongWomen Science (winner Best Family Event), Juanita's Big Problem, What Stuff Does, Fruity n' Dishy, The Amazing Flea Circus and more. We like to reach new audiences with original work.
