Kate McBrearty is an Irish producer working in theatre and live events. Kate attained a Master's degree in Theatre Practice & Production from the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2020 and has since been based in Galway but has worked all over Ireland and in the UK. She has worked in a number of art forms including Theatre, Music, Circus, and TV. She is interested in interdisciplinary works, bringing different art forms and mediums together.
Kate is a founding member of Aon Scéal Theatre Company, which produces new Irish musical theatre. Kate also works closely with Claddagh Choral to produce concerts and tours nationally and internationally. Kate is passionate about the Irish language and welcomes opportunities to work as Gaeilge.
Current/ recent Projects
- As a founding member of Aon Scéal Theatre, Kate was a producer and production manager on Tír na nÓg, a new Irish Musical in 2022.
- Kate is currently producing Galway City Chamber Choir’s upcoming tour of Japan, set to take place in June 2024.
- Kate is currently working with MÓC2 on continuity links for a new children’s TV channel, Cúla4

Kath Gorman is an experienced creative producer, curator and arts management consultant who has worked in both Ireland and the UK across venues, festivals and resource organisations. She is the founder/creative director of Promenade since July 2021.
Past roles include Adviser, Arts Participation to the Arts Council, Head of Participation & Engagement, Artistic Curator & Associate Producer for Cork Midsummer Festival, Director of Kinsale Arts Week, Director of Arts Centre Jacksons Lane. She has particular expertise in producing site-specific arts commissions with international and Irish artists in specific places or with communities of interest.
Past producer credits include: Cork Ignite (National Sculpture Factory/Create), Union Black (Irish presentation at Cork Midsummer Festival), La Cocina Publica (Teatro Container/Cork Midsummer Festival) Kath is also passionate about increased support for producers and artist self-producers.
Current/ recent Projects
• Co-delivered a training and coaching programme with UK circus producers Split Second for 3 selected producers on behalf of Fidget Feet, Loosysmokes and NCFI.
• Founded Promenade's Producers Network; the first of its kind in Ireland offering mentoring and networking events.
